An interview with Peter Cincotti
“Long way from home” is the new album released by Peter Cincotti, the eclectic newyorker musician, well-known also in Italy, thanks to the song “Goodbye Philadelphia” and his participation in the Sanremo Festival with Simona Molinari.
“Long way from home“, whose forthcoming release was preceded by the single of the same name and from the EP “Exit 105” (which contains 5 tracks of the album), is a challenge considering more than one point of view. From a business point of view, the album was entirely self-produced (funded through crowdfunding), taking three years of work for the composition, the arrangement, the production and the promotion. From an artistic point of view, this album represents an evolution in the musical path of Cincotti, who makes more modern the sound of the rhythmic piano, bringing in the pop music the jazz imprinting, which characterized the beginning of his career.
